Soquel Union Elementary School District
Board of Trustees
The Soquel Union Elementary School District is governed by a five-member board. The Governing Board works in conjunction with the Superintendent to create an educational vision for our district. A major focus of the Governing Board is board policy and fiduciary responsibilities. The Board of Trustees meets most first and third Wednesdays during the school year and has a reduced schedule of meetings in the summer.
The board and district publish a Governance Handbook which guides their values, roles, culture, and processes.

Board Governance Calendar
In an effort to provide our community at large with an overview of topics that will be discussed at future board meetings, our Board of Trustees has created a Board Governance Calendar. This calendar is a living document and will be updated and changed throughout the school year.

Board Meetings
Regular meetings of the Board of Trustees are generally held on the first and third Wednesday of each month.
Unless otherwise noted, board meetings are held in the District Office Board Room, 620 Monterey Avenue, Capitola, CA. and Open Session begins at 6:30 p.m.
